Q: Why Measure Your Blood Pressure?
A: Among today’s various health problems, those associated with high
blood pressure are very common. High blood pressure dangerously
correlates with cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, blood pressure
monitoring is important for identifying those at risk.
Q: Why Do My Readings Vary?
A: Blood pressure is a body parameter that is subject to normal
variations throughout the day. A single reading that is different from
yours or your doctor’s readings are not necessarily inaccurate. The
average of several readings, taken under similar conditions, using the
same arm is preferred for accurate blood pressure readings.
Q: Why Are My Readings Different Than Those Taken at My Doctor’s Office?
A: Many experience a phenomenon called “White Coat Hypertension”
when measured by a doctor. White Coat Hypertension refers to blood
pressure that rises above its usual level when measured in a clinical
setting, such as a doctor’s office.
Q: How Can I clean my blood pressure monitor?
A: Wipe the casing of the monitor clean using a soft dry cloth. Never use any abrasive type cleaners or submerge the monitor or any of the components in water. The cuff can be cleaned with a soft moistened cloth and a mild soap.
Q: Can I purchase a large cuff for my upper arm blood pressure monitor?
A: Many but not all Transtek Blood Pressure Monitors are capable of using a large cuff (22-32cm/22-42cm).
To determine your arm size, use a cloth tape measure and place the tape measure midway between your elbow and your shoulder around the circumference of your upper arm. Wrap the tape measure evenly around your arm. Do not pull the tape tight. Note the precise measurement in centimeter. For additional information please refer to the Instruction Manual for your device.
Q: Can I take a measurement during exercise?
A: Transtek Blood Pressure Monitor are not intended for use during exercise or activity. We recommend you avoid eating, smoking and exercising for at least 30 minutes before taking a measurement.
Q: Is an upper arm blood pressure monitor more accurate than a wrist type?
A: Both of these devices must meet the same stringent specifications for accuracy. Pressure: +/- 3 mm Hg (millimetres of Mercury), Pulse: +/- 5% of display reading. These values meet or exceed the provisions of EC directive 93/42/EEC(Medical Device Directive), and the European Standard EN1060, Non-invasive sphygmanometers Part 3: Supplementary requirements for electromechanical blood pressure measuring systems.
The choice of device is basically one of convenience. Some people find the compactness of a wrist blood pressure monitor a benefit especially if one is travelling. Others prefer the larger buttons and display on the upper arm blood pressure monitors (easier to use and read).
Q: Could you provide SDK if I have my own APP?
A: Yes, we are the developer of APP and Device, we could provide SDK or BLE document.
Q: Can I customized functions?

Q: Why am I unable to connect with the APP?
A: Please making sure the OS of your phone is within the range that the smart watch / bracelet supports.
Q: The watch / bracelet icon shows that it has paired over Bluetooth, however the APP cannot sync data. How do I resolve this?
A: Generally it is caused by the Bluetooth of the phone. Please turn off the APP first, restart the Bluetooth connection and re-pair the two
devices. If the above step does not work, please restart your phone and try to pair the devices again.
Q: What factors affect heart rate test results ?
A: Not standard way of wearing (such as display toward wrist inner side) would affect hear rate signal measuring, such as the green light not fully cover your skin, arm swing and the slight movement of device on wrist, too tight wearing, raising the arm high and clenching the fist would affect blood circulation and affect the heart rate signal as well. As with all heart-rate tracking technology, whether a chest heart rate belt or a wrist-based sensor, the accuracy is affected by personal physiology, location of wear, and type of movement.
