ZDL Automatic Recirculation Valve

An automatic recirculation valve is a multifunctional valve whose primary purpose is to ensure that a pre-determined minimum flow is assured through a centrifugal pump at all times. This is important as centrifugal pumps suffer from over heating and cavitation and can be permanently damaged if they run dry.

ARC valve is the abbreviation for Automatic Recirculation Control valve. The function of this valve is the same as that of a AR valve.

ZDL Automatic Recirculation Valve

EDVC of  automatic recirculation valve is a kind of pump protection device. It automatically protects the centrifugal pump when a pump body occurs cavitation damage or unstable (especially conveying hot water at low load operation). Once pump flow is lower than the preset flow, bypass can completely open to ensure the minimum required flow pump. Even running fully closed, the main flow is zero, the minimum flow can also discharge from the bypass.

Lution For Pump Protection:

The modern industrial equipment process request centrifugal pump basically works under the condition of variable flow.

An automatic recirculation valve (ARC valve) is a multifunctional valve whose primary purpose is to ensure that a pre-determined minimum flow is assured any times through the centrifugal pump. This is very important, because centrifugal pumps would suffer from overheating and cavitation, it can be permanently damaged if the pump run dry.

Through many years of research and development, continuous innovation and practice,  EDVC valve Co. research ZD series Automatic recirculation control Valve, to protect centrifugal pump from overheating, serious noise, unstable and erosion's damage under low load operation. As long as the flow rate of the pump valve below a certain value, the bypass backflow line will automatically open to ensure the necessary minimum flow of the pump.

Three protection ways for pump

  • Continuous circulating system
Continuous Circulating System

The minimum requirements of the continuous circulation system pump have nothing to do with the discharge of the process flow change system. After setting the minimum flow rate, it flows directly back to the storage tank through the orifice. Although continuous minimum flow circulation can well protect the pump, the pump must provide greater power output to ensure the system process flow and circulation flow, which will cause additional energy waste.

  • Control circulating system

The control circulation system is composed of a check valve, a flow meter, a minimum flow control valve, and a control circulation system. The control circulation system can provide minimum flow protection. When the process flow is greater than the minimum flow of the pump, the loop is closed and no extra Of energy loss. However, the system is complex, and the control components, purchase, installation, and maintenance costs are relatively high.

  • Automatic recirculation control valve
Automatic Recirculation Control Valve

The automatic circulation valve is equipped with a check valve, a flow sensor, a bypass control valve, and a combination of multi-stage pressure reduction. It does not require power, control systems, and wiring, and is essential for safety. It occupies a small space, minimizes the possibility of high-speed fluid failure, and reduces installation and maintenance costs. It is the first way to protect the pump in modern industrial processes.
