① During the opening and closing process of the valve, there is no contact between the sealing surface of the valve body and the sealing surface of the sliding plate. Therefore, the sealing surface has no friction and wear, the valve has a long service life, and the switching torque is small;
②When the valve is being repaired, there is no need to remove the valve from the pipeline, just disassemble the bottom cover of the valve and exchange a pair of sliding plates;
③The valve body and cock are reduced in diameter, which can reduce the cost;
④ The inner cavity of the valve is plated with hard chromium, and the sealing area is hard and smooth;
⑤ The elastic seal on the sliding plate is made of fluorine rubber, and it is molded into the groove on the surface of the sliding plate. The metal-to-metal seal with fireproof function is used as the backing of the elastic seal;
⑥ The valve has an automatic relief device (optional), after the valve is completely closed, to prevent abnormal pressure increase in the valve cavity and test the effect of the valve;
⑦ The valve switch indicator is synchronized with the switch position to accurately display the valve switch status.

According to API, a DBB valve is a "single valve with two seating surfaces that, in the closed position, provides a seal against pressure from both ends of the valve, with a means of venting/bleeding the cavity between the seating surfaces."
It's typically used where bleeding the valve cavity is required, where piping needs isolation for maintenance, or for any of these other scenarios: 1.Prevent product contamination. 2.Remove equipment from service for cleaning or repair. 3.Meter calibration. 4.Liquid service near waterways or municipalities. 5.Transmission and storage.
A DIB-1 ball valve has two double-piston-effect seats. DIB-2 has single-piston-effect design (DBB) for one seat and double- piston-effect design (DIB) for another seat.
